The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement systems to automate various processes, improving efficiency and quality in production or business operations. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, production, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Develop and implement automation systems to optimize workflows and production processes.
Programming and Scripting: Write and modify scripts using programming languages & programming tools to automate processes.
System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure automated systems function as intended. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the testing phase.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance of automation systems to ensure continuous operation. Provide ongoing support, including maintenance, troubleshooting and improvements.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all automation processes, workflows, and configurations.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of automation initiatives.
Compliance: Ensure all automation systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in safety, quality, and data security.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in automation engineering or a related role, preferably in
manufacturing automation.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in automation tools
o Experience with PLCs, HMI, VFD, SCADA, Servo systems & others.
o Familiarity with control systems, data acquisition, and testing frameworks.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with teams.
o Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
